This topic covers the following procedures:
Allow at least 30 MB free disk space for DataMatcher installation.
Required for Windows, optional for Unix systems.
The DataMatcher bin directory contains the batch script match.bat and the shell script match. Both files begin with settings for JVM location and memory usage.
The JVM location is set by JAVA_HOME. If you already have set this variable in your system, leave this setting as is. Otherwise you must enter an absolute path to a Java installation.
For example, in a Windows system, the path can resemble the following:
JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_11
match --version or match -v.On Windows the return should resemble the following:
Product version: Build 1.0.x.xx on YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS PM
Library version: Build 1.0.x.x on YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS PM
Java version: 1.6.0_11 in <JAVA_HOME>\jre
DataMatcher is now installed.
Logging is configured in the file InstallDir/datarush-matching-1.0.2/conf/logger.properties.
In this properties file, see File Handler Logging Settings.
Documentation for this release is provided in DataMatcher Users Guide and through the samples. The DataMatcher Users Guide is provided as a PDF file in the installation. Updates to this document may also be found on the DataRush web site.
Once you have installed DataMatcher, we recommend that you try the working sample applications provided with the installation. For each example, all needed files are in InstallDir/datarush-matching-1.0.2/samples.
DataMatcher includes the following sample applications:
As a convenience, the installation includes the batch script runsamples.bat for Windows and the shell script runsamples for Unix. Running this script in the samples directory executes all samples and generates output in the InstallDir/datarush-matching-1.0.2/samples/results directory.
